So, I understand that we had more than 150 singers here to audition to sing the National Anthem at a game this season....quite a turn out! I wasn't able to get down to the floor to see them after work, however, I heard there was some potential...
Got me thinking about memorable anthems....so I YouTube'd it!

I'd like to throw something out there...let's have a debate.
What's the best time to hear the Star Spangled Banner? I'll give you mine...it's got to be when a United States Olympic athlete is on the medal stand receiving his/her gold medal. Nothing like seeing the Stars and Stripes, just a little bit higher than any other flag and hearing those first few bars...flash to the athlete on the stand, maybe singing along, usually crying and listening to the Anthem. Quite a moment.
Best Olympic moment for the Anthem? Gotta be Mike Eruzione on the medal stand, the captain of the 1980 U.S. Olympic Men's Hockey team, hand over heart, singing along. And then calling his teammates up on the podium.
U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!
"Do you believe in miracles? YES!!"
Gets me EVERY time...every single time.
Tell me one better in sports...tell me!!

Goodbye...i am sorry
Whatever you do, don't bother asking Josh Howard his opinion ...
What about the classic black glove at the '68 olympics?
There is nothing more patriotic than free speech!
